2001-09-27 4:05 p.m. Jess and I hook up every now and again. Yes, that's right. Hook up. Y'know.. naked and all that. I like her. Like her alot. Have since college. I sometimes wonder what would happen if she lived here. Would we have a closer relationship? Or does absence make the heart grow fond? But the point is that Jess lives in L.A. Has a whole life of her own there. She's happy. She was intown this week and today we met for lunch. It was good seeing her. Good to catch up. BUt I surprised myself with unexpected melancholy. I spent the entire lunch thinking of what might have been. And is not. downtown----uptown leave me a note, fool!
